Memorial Day

I don't think there's anything lovelier than a Sunday when there's no school on Monday. I still have a stupid sore throat, however, so I doubt I'll feel like riding tomorrow.

Yesterday I watched a bunch of FWBA riders on the Weatherford to Lipan ride. They stopped by the Pak a Sak for a break. I found out that I could probably be riding about 2 mph faster on a road bike than my hybrid and that I could get a granny gear even on a road bike. Hmmmm... I don't necessarily want to ditch my new bike, but I'd sure like to try out a bike that's really fitted for me.

Last Days of School

As for my last ride, which was on Monday around 7 pm... it was a "training" ride. I worked on spinning as much as I could, which means I didn't go all that fast, but I spun like a crazy person. I did that for around 10 miles.

I do love being able to ride right from my driveway and back. The scenery leaves a bit to be desired, but it's good for getting some miles in.

Well, this isn't about biking. Well, not actually. Although when school's out, and I guess after I've slept in for a couple of mornings.. or 4 or 5, I'll be able to get up early and ride before it gets hot. Yup, that's the plan.

And the end of school is in sight.

Birth of a Blog

This is supposed to take the place, well, not take the place of actually, but put down on electronic paper the thoughts I have while driving, biking, and just hanging out. Wow, that is a very long sentence. More, later.
